My wife got a job with Olive Tree Bible Software, they make Bible software for PDA's and Pocket PC's. From what I understand they are the Logos of handheld Bible software. Now there are certain benefits that come with the job and one of the benefits I need a PDA/PC to take advantage of. I know nothing about these devices and am looking for some help. I would like to keep it in the $200-$250 range. Input please.

Hi Alan. I really like my Smartphone. It's a PDA and cell phone combined. Carrying just one device is nice. Do you carry a cell phone? If so, see if they carry a Smartphone or Pocket PC phone (both are Microsoft Mobile devices) or a Treo (Palm OS).
We use Verizon and I have a Motorola Q9m. Nice device and I have a decent Bible library from Olive Tree on it. The Q9m is fairly new and I've identified a few Bible Reader bugs to Olive Tree. The original Motorola Q did not have any problems with it at all.
If you would rather have a stand alone PDA, I'd suggest looking on eBay for a HP iPAQ or Dell Pocket PC. My wife has a Dell Axim X3i with Olive Tree software on it. Works great. You can buy new Pocket PC's, but they are not as popular as they once were. I guess most folks are switching to PDA/phones.
Thanks Mark,
I can't upgrade my phone until November so I don't know what I will do. I guess I will just look around until I find a deal I can't pass up.
You want a Palm Z22 handheld which you can order from Palm.com for $99.00. I think it's 32 megabytes. I have one and use it with BibleReader version 3.67 by Olive Tree Bible Software.
Good price for a basic PDA. It may or may not have room to download some of the more sophisticated bells and whistles, but I haven't tried to.

John, thanks and I would consider that but I will need close to 1GB of memory and the z22 is not ezpandable. If it were I think I would jump on it.
